A New Record!! 11.5 Miles

Today I saw pitcher plants and skunk cabbage flowers. And I saw Tamaracks growing their new needles. I saw a turkey vulture. On the way to the hike, we saw a group of wild turkeys and another group of Sandhill cranes.

My old record was ten miles in one day. Today, I beat my record and hiked 11.5 miles!! I'm tired, but happy.

Tiny grasshoppers, just hatched. We found these crawling out of holes in the sand.

I found a dragon. Look closely, you can find his eye, nostril, and long teeth.
